Jooble is an international job search platform used by millions of people in 66 countries every day. Unfortunately, scammers sometimes impersonate Jooble to steal personal data or deceive job seekers.

This article explains how to identify fake messages, which platforms we actually use, and what to do if you've already been targeted.

How to Recognize a Fake Jooble Message

If someone contacts you claiming to be from Jooble, be immediately suspicious if the message:

  • Uses the Jooble logo, name, or branding to appear legitimate
  • Asks for personal information such as your ID, passport, address, or date of birth
  • Asks for banking or financial details, payment, or a registration fee
  • Promises a job offer without a prior application or interview process
  • Asks you to communicate outside the official Jooble website
  • Comes from an email address not ending in @jooble.com (e.g., a Gmail or other public domain)

Note: Official emails from Jooble are sent exclusively from addresses ending in @jooble.com. If you receive an email from any other domain — including @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, or similar — it did not come from us.

Platforms Jooble Does NOT Use

Jooble does not contact job seekers or offer vacancies through any of the following:

  • WhatsApp
  • Viber

  • TikTok
  • Facebook Messenger
  • Telegram (except for the two official channels listed below)
  • Any other third-party messenger, social network, or SMS service

If anyone contacts you through these platforms claiming to represent Jooble, it is not us.

What to Do If You Received a Suspicious Message

If you receive a message that you believe is impersonating Jooble, act immediately:

  1. Do not reply to the message or engage with the sender in any way.
  2. Do not share any personal, financial, or account information.
  3. Do not click any links or download any files sent in the message.
  4. Take a screenshot of the message as evidence.
  5. Report it to us via our support form. We investigate all reports of fraudulent activity.
  6. Block and report the sender directly within the platform where you received the message.

If You Already Shared Personal Data

If you have already provided personal or financial information to someone impersonating Jooble, take these steps to minimise potential harm:

  • Contact your bank or financial institution immediately if you shared any payment information, card numbers, or bank account details.
  • Change your passwords for any accounts that may have been compromised, starting with your email and any job platforms.
  • Report the incident to your local Cyber Police or relevant law enforcement authority — this helps protect other job seekers.
  • Report the incident to your local data protection authority if sensitive personal data was involved.
  • If the message came via a specific platform (e.g., Telegram, WhatsApp), use that platform's built-in reporting tools to flag the account.

Your safety is our top priority. We are committed to investigating and addressing all cases of unauthorised use of the Jooble name or brand.
