Jooble's main goal is to help you find the right job as quickly as possible. To do that, our search algorithm analyses multiple factors to show you the most relevant vacancies for your query.
Two Types of Jobs on Jooble
All vacancies on Jooble fall into two categories:
- Jobs from partners — vacancies collected from various job boards, company career pages, and recruiters across the internet. When you click Apply on these listings, you may be redirected to an external website to complete your application.
- Jobs posted directly on Jooble — vacancies published by employers directly on Jooble as part of a B2B relationship. You can apply for these without leaving the platform.
What Affects Your Search Results
When you enter a search query, the results you see depend on a combination of factors:
- Your search query — job title, keywords, and region.
- Filters applied — employment type, salary, work experience, date of posting.
- Availability of vacancies in the selected region — if no matching jobs are found nearby, the algorithm may suggest vacancies from a wider area or related roles.
- Your previous activity on Jooble — searches, clicks, applications, and browsing history.
- Country-specific algorithms — Jooble operates in 67 countries, and search logic varies by country based on local market characteristics and the number of available listings.
Why Results Differ Between Users
Search results on Jooble are personalised for each user. This means two people searching for the same job title may see different results. Here is why:
- Personalisation — the ranking algorithm is continuously adjusted based on how individual users interact with vacancies — which results they click, how long they spend on a listing, and whether they apply.
- Constantly changing content — new vacancies are added and old ones are removed every day, so results change over time even for the same query.
- A/B testing — Jooble regularly tests improvements to its search algorithm. Users in the same country may be placed in different test groups, which means the display of results may differ even for identical queries.
Tips to Improve Your Search
- Use a clear, specific job title — instead of "great sales manager job", type "sales manager". The more precise your query, the more relevant the results.
- Apply filters — use the Date of posting, Employment type, Salary, and Location filters to narrow down results to what you actually need.
- Check the Salary page — use the Salary page to find out average pay for your target role in your region before you apply.
- Set up Job Alerts — receive new matching vacancies by email as soon as they appear on Jooble, without having to search manually.
- Try different keywords — if you get too few results, try alternative job titles or remove filters to broaden your search.
